About the role:

The Banquet Captain oversees the setup, service, and breakdown of banquet functions, including weddings, conferences, corporate meetings, and social events. This role ensures service standards are maintained, staff perform efficiently, and guests receive an outstanding dining experience.

 

What you will do:

·         Supervise banquet servers and support staff during events.

·         Review and execute the Banquet Event Order (BEO) before each function.

·         Conduct pre-event staff briefings and assign workstations.

·         Ensure banquet rooms are set up according to event specifications.

·         Coordinate food and beverage service with the kitchen.

·         Monitor service quality and guest satisfaction throughout the event.

·         Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.

·         Maintain cleanliness and safety standards during and after events.

·         Assist with staff scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.

·         Complete post-event reports and communicate operational issues to management.

What you bring:

·         High school diploma or equivalent (hospitality qualification preferred).

·         2–4 years of banquet or food & beverage service experience.

·         Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.

·         Knowledge of banquet operations and food service standards.

·         Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

·         Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
