About the role

Are you a people person who loves wellness, sales, and building connections? Join HealthFitness as a part-time Membership Sales Representative at Advocate Good Samaritan health and wellness club in Downers Grove, IL. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for prospective members, helping them discover the value of our fitness center while creating a welcoming experience that drives membership growth and retention.

Hours: 20 hours per week; Tuesday - 9am-3pm, Wednesday- 4pm-7pm, Thursday- 9am-2pm, Sunday-11am-3pm

Key point of contact for the community and members at the client's Health and Wellness Center. Responsible for providing assistance and service to clients by answering requests, process, and provide information on membership accounts and services offered.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to prospective and existing members via face-to-face service, phone, text, and email communication. Building lasting relationships with prospective and current members.

  • Meeting sales goals and generating leads through prospect, networking, and member referrals.

  • Promoting and attending facility social events.

  • Serving as facility ambassador to local businesses, corporations and community members.

  • May provide leadership presence on the floor to assist with issues that may arise and provide coverage when manager isn’t available.

  • Conduct tours of the facility and assist members with account changes and requests.

  • Other duties as needed/assigned


Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.

  • Adult/Child CPR/AED/First Aid certification.

  • 1-2 years previous sales experience.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

  • Highly motivated and communicates effectively.

  • Passionate about helping others improve the quality of their lives.

  • Able and willing to listen to feedback and apply it moving forward.

  • Flu vaccination required during the Fall season.

Preferred:

  • Associates degree or relevant work experience.

The compensation range for this role is $17.00 - $18.00 per hour plus commission and bonus. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.  We understand that compensation is an important factor when considering a new opportunity, and we strive to provide a competitive wage within the market.
