Description
*There is both Full Time and Part Time opportunities.
- Monitors heart rhythm pattern of patients in the hospital to detect abnormal pattern variances, using telemetry equipment: Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern, and prior variances.
- Observes screen of cardiac monitor and listens for alarm to identify abnormal variation in heart rhythm. Informs RN of variances to initiate examination of patient.
- Measures length and height of patient's heart rhythm pattern, using calipers, and posts information on patient records.
- Provides continuous observation and surveillance of multiple adult or pediatric patients via video monitoring technology.
- Interacts with patients and redirects via video monitoring technology.
- Answers calls for inquiries concerning patients from medical staff and the patient care team.
- Maintains records by labeling, assembling, filing/distributing appropriate reports/documents, maintaining log order and other related duties.
- Cleans environment/work area/equipment and communicates any equipment malfunctions to appropriate department/unit personnel.
- Required High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6 months of relevant experience health care Preferred
- Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program Required
- CRT-CPR - AHA American Heart Association Ludington
