Our client, a leading provider of advanced automation, robotics, vision inspection, and manufacturing technology solutions, is seeking a Controls Designer to join their growing engineering team in Windsor, Ontario. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge custom automation projects, collaborating with a talented multidisciplinary team to design innovative electrical control systems that support world-class manufacturing operations.

What You'll Do
- Design electrical and pneumatic schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system prints using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Develop electrical documentation for custom automation equipment, production machinery, and drive systems.
- Collaborate closely with Mechanical Designers, Controls Engineers, and the manufacturing team to ensure designs are accurate, code-compliant, and production-ready.
- Support automation projects involving electrical controls, safety systems, drives, and industrial networking interfaces.
- Ensure electrical drawings are completed efficiently while meeting project timelines and quality standards.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical support throughout the manufacturing and commissioning process.
- Travel occasionally to support project requirements as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of Controls Design or Electrical Design experience in an industrial automation or manufacturing environment.
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical for creating electrical and pneumatic schematics.
- Experience designing electrical control systems for automated machinery or manufacturing equipment.
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical standards and best practices.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as project requirements dictate.
