We are currently seeking an Interim QI Team Manager (TM) for USRM PL Core Casualty for a short term assignment. This manager will oversee a team of QI Claims Specialists who perform on-site quality / performance audits of claims files. The QI TM ensures each audit of the branch office is completed according to strategic business unit claims handling standards and advises team members about specific aspects of local claims processing. This TM in this role will review and analyze files and facilitate calibration of quality assurance team. Other expectations of the role include assisting management in compiling and analyzing results and presenting findings to claims management.
Ideal Qualifications
- Prior QI related experience
- Knowledge of PL Core organization including unrepped casualty claims
Responsibilities:
- All managerial duties for their assigned direct reports to include interviewing, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.
- Leads focus audits. Responsible for a team supporting all specific Line of Business job families.
- Ensures each audit is completed according to established standards and procedures.
- Leads centralized audits with a greater analysis of trend identification and analysis of data.
- Analyze QA data to identify trends, compile and present audit results and recommendations to regional/operational leadership.
- Facilitate and participate in calibration with quality assurance team.
- Prepares QA reports for presentation to regional/operational leadership.
- Supports Continuous Improvement and LMS and Participates and/or leads Root Cause Problem Solving events (RCPS).
- Act as a senior technical and training resource to other members of quality assurance. Mentor and Develop staff in data analysis and results presentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent training required plus minimum 5 - 7 years of progressively more responsible and related experience required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills required.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and analytical skills required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Claims department procedures required.
- In depth knowledge of assigned product area, general insurance policy coverage and State Tort Law.
