RELIEF LODGE MANAGER

You’ll uphold seamless service standards, ensure memorable guest experiences, and maintain strong team morale while quickly integrating into diverse camp environments. RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Operational Oversight

  • Assume full responsibility for camp operations during assigned relief periods, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery and compliance with the company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct rapid assessments of camp operations upon arrival and identify areas requiring immediate attention or improvement.
  • Coordinate Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, Laundry, and Back-of-House functions to ensure seamless daily operations.
  • Support effective handover processes with outgoing and incoming camp management teams.
  • Monitor camp administration, petty cash management, stock controls, logistics, and resupply activities in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Ensure operational records, reports, and procedures are accurately maintained and communicated to the Field Operations Manager.

 

Guest Experience

  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high hospitality and service standards across all assigned camps.
  • Welcome, brief, and engage with guests, ensuring they receive relevant camp information and personalized attention throughout their stay.
  • Manage guest services, activities, and special requests while ensuring guest satisfaction remains a priority.
  • Resolve guest complaints, concerns, and service issues promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, dining facilities, and campgrounds to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and overall guest comfort.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as Camp Manager or Assistant
  • Previous experience in bush camps will be highly valued
  • Studies according to the position
  • High level of English speaking
  • Leadership skills, guest-oriented, strong communication skills
  • Knowledge on Microsoft packages
  • Team-oriented, loyal, and excellent leadership skills
  • Flexibility, commitment, dedication, and reliability
  • A hospitable and service-oriented attitude
  • Good knowledge on the following: HR,                     Logistics/resupply, some bush/guide knowledge
