We are currently looking to add a Lead Yard Hand to our Peace River branch.
As the Lead Yard Hands, you are responsible for:
We are currently looking to add a Lead Yard Hand to our Peace River branch.
As the Lead Yard Hands, you are responsible for:
- Completing yard duties (organizing yard, cleaning yard and equipment, plowing, etc.) along with the Yard Hands
- Leading the preparation of rental equipment and ensuring timely and accurate execution
- Ensuring the secure and precise loading and unloading of equipment and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed
- Training Yard Hands on yard processes and procedures, and the general maintenance, cleaning, testing and troubleshooting of equipment
- Taking the lead on yard projects (tool crib prep, etc.) and delegating tasks to Yard Hands
- Ensuring customer service standards are met and addressing any escalated customer concerns by providing solutions
- Escalating staff problems to Branch Manager when applicable
- Identifying areas for process improvements and implementing changes to enhance efficiency
- Previous lead hand experience
- Excellent time management, organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to operate and train employees on material handling equipment, such as forklifts and Bobcats
- Valid Class 5 drivers licence
- Ability to lift objects over 50 lbs.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions while wearing proper PPE
