HVAC Technician I – Industrial (Maintenance Support)

What this job involves

As an HVAC Technician I – Industrial (Maintenance Support) at JLL, you will perform basic HVAC maintenance tasks in an industrial facility under the direction of senior technicians and supervisors. This role is designed for entry‑level technicians and focuses on routine maintenance activities that support reliable HVAC system operation, including filter replacement, coil cleaning, and general assistance with other maintenance tasks as needed.

This position provides hands-on exposure to industrial HVAC equipment while emphasizing safety, consistency, and adherence to established maintenance procedures.

 

What your day-to-day will look like

Routine HVAC Maintenance

• Change air filters on HVAC equipment including air handling units, rooftop units, and exhaust systems according to established schedules
• Clean evaporator and condenser coils using approved methods and materials
• Inspect HVAC components during servicing and report visible issues such as damage, leaks, excessive dirt, or abnormal conditions to senior staff
• Assist with maintaining clean and orderly mechanical spaces

Maintenance Support Duties

• Support senior HVAC technicians with basic tasks during maintenance and service activities
• Perform general maintenance duties as assigned, including equipment cleaning and material handling
• Transport tools, materials, and replacement filters to work areas
• Follow documented procedures and checklists to ensure tasks are completed accurately

Safety and Compliance

• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout awareness
• Maintain a safe and organized work area at all times
• Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or unusual conditions promptly
• Comply with site‑specific safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements

 

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Basic familiarity with HVAC systems or mechanical equipment preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Willingness to learn industrial HVAC maintenance practices
• Ability to perform repetitive maintenance tasks consistently and safely

 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work at heights, on ladders, and in mechanical rooms
• Comfortable working in industrial environments and varying temperatures
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and use hand tools for extended periods

 

Working Conditions

This position involves work in industrial facilities with exposure to mechanical equipment, dust, noise, and varying environmental conditions. Overtime or schedule flexibility may occasionally be required based on maintenance needs.

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
