The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment solutions supporting our FX and CFD trading operations.
Working closely with software engineering and trading technology teams, this role will focus on automating software delivery, managing cloud environments, monitoring system performance, and ensuring the security, availability, stability and reliability of our production trading environments.
Responsibility
- Collaborate with software engineering, quantitative development and trading technology teams to design, build, integrate and deploy cloud-based applications supporting the company's FX and CFD trading operations, coordinating workflows between teams and automating hand-offs to improve delivery efficiency and system availability, stability and reliability.
- Design, build and continuously improve the company's continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, automating the build, testing, deployment and upgrade of trading software and platforms and ensuring compatibility with existing infrastructure and operational requirements.
- Configure, document and deploy cloud operating environments by developing and maintaining infrastructure-as-code, automated provisioning and configuration management tooling, with an emphasis on efficiency, consistency, scalability and security.
- Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting and observability solutions for critical trading infrastructure and applications, collecting and analysing operational metrics such as system performance, availability, network connectivity and latency to identify and resolve technical issues affecting production trading environments.
- Implement and automate security controls across the delivery pipeline and cloud environments, such as access management, secrets management, vulnerability scanning and automated security patching, and identify and remediate vulnerabilities throughout the software lifecycle in accordance with the company's governance processes, security policies and industry best practice.
- Provide technical support to software engineering teams in designing, testing and debugging software solutions, including diagnosing and correcting build, integration, configuration and environment-related defects within established testing and release standards.
- Safeguard the stability, performance and security of the trading environment and critical trading infrastructure by identifying and mitigating risks across the software delivery lifecycle, investigating production incidents and anomalies, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive measures.
- Maintain technical documentation, environment configuration records, deployment runbooks and operational procedures, and recommend improvements to DevOps tooling, cloud services and platform upgrades to support system deployments, maintenance and infrastructure improvements.
