·       B. E. / B tech (Mechanical / Chemical).

·       6 to 10 years in project and maintenance activities of a chemical plant and utilities preferably in active pharmaceutical ingredient plants.

JOB PURPOSE

Generic

Generate and distribute energies at site at desired quality and optimum cost, maintain utilities ensuring HSE, Quality and local statutory compliance leading a team of subordinates, ensuring timely maintenance of plants of SIL in silent hours at Ankleshwar site, living Group’s Values and Code of Ethics.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.    Generation and distribution of Energies

1.1.   Plan and ensure that adequate quantity and quality of all utilities is generated and   effective distribution is made to all CHEMISTRY / PHARMACEUTICALS/ PD manufacturing facility at optimum cost in three shifts daily.

1.2.  Ensure relieving of each other in shifts so that no shift is without Executive, Energies on 365 days including paid holidays.

2.    Maintenance of Energies equipment / Plant break downs

2.1.  Plan and implement preventive and break down maintenance of energies equipment with   effective utilization of resources.

2.2.  Supervise the plant machinery breakdowns of CHEMISTRY / PHARMACEUTICALS / PD manufacturing plants in silent hours.

2.3.  Managing required spare parts, developing local vendors / workshops

3.    Monitoring and Controlling

3.1.  Ensure that proper system is functioning to capture consumption of each utility by each user, generate daily and monthly report of consumption of energies by CHEMISTRY / PD and PHARMACEUTICALS users.

4.    Budgeting

4.1.  Assist in preparing / monitor and control revenue budget, prepare energy requirement of all three site

5.    Energy conservation

5.1.  Plan, prepare, implement cost effective conservation measures

6.    Co ordination

6.1.  Co-ordinate with plants for providing adequately for fluctuating energy need of the site.

6.2.  Liaise with statutory authorities for statutory compliances.

6.3.  Co-ordinate with fuel supply agencies for adequate supply

7.    Compliance and document management

7.1.  Ensure compliance with global Quality /HSE guidelines, local statutory requirements.

7.2.  Ensure qualification of utilities and maintain documents pertaining to ISO / GMP / HSE and local statutory requirement.

7.3.  Ensure compliance in areas of steam boilers / pressure vessels / lifting tools

8.    Development

8.1.  Train the subordinates for their development and participate in vendor development activity.

9.    Man management

9.1.  Supervise technician’s work and sort out issues raised by them

10.Others

10.1. Identify and report unsafe conditions / behavior / unsafe action or other potentially hazardous situation with respect to Environment, Health, Safety.
