Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol in Lynchburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support badge and access control activities, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, production areas, parking areas, loading docks, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and observe vehicle traffic in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation; communicate relevant security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Have baton certification preferred.
• Have access control or badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
