Basic Functions and Scope of Job

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, and stack materials within the warehouse or production facility. This role supports efficient operations while maintaining safety, accuracy, and cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, pallet jack, etc.) safely and efficiently
• Prepare and stage loading pallets and equipment
• Load, unload, move, stack, and organize materials and products
• Transport goods to designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks
• Inspect forklift equipment daily and report mechanical issues or safety concerns
• Accurately follow inventory control procedures, including scanning and paperwork
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities as needed
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Follow all safety guidelines, OSHA regulations, and company policies
• Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding workflow and issues
• Support general warehouse duties during downtime

• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
• Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial environment
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices
• Ability to read work orders, labels, and basic documentation
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, and pull materials (often up to 50 lbs)
• Comfortable standing, bending, reaching, and climbing in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in varying temperatures (depending on facility)

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with inventory systems or warehouse management software (WMS)
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environments
• Knowledge of pallet racking systems and load limits

Hours: Monday - Friday (10 am - 6:30 pm)

Hours during training: Monday - Friday (8 am - 4:30 pm)
