Riam Recruiting is partnering with an established, physician-owned orthopaedic practice to recruit a Physical Therapy Site Manager for its Taneytown, Maryland location.

This opportunity combines hands-on patient care with the chance to lead a small rehabilitation team. Previous management experience is not required—the practice welcomes an experienced clinician who is ready to grow into leadership, receptive to coaching, and comfortable taking ownership of daily clinic operations.

About the Opportunity

You will work alongside a Physical Therapist Assistant, providing clinical guidance and direct care while collaborating with therapy leadership on clinic operations, staff development, and patient satisfaction.

The clinic serves a substantial older-adult population, including patients with complex conditions and multiple comorbidities. This role is well suited to a clinician who enjoys building relationships with patients and delivering individualized rehabilitation care.

Approximately 90–95% of the role involves direct patient care, with the remaining time dedicated to management and administrative responsibilities. Administrative time is determined by clinic needs and leadership discretion.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality rehabilitation care, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.

• Provide clinical leadership and collaborate closely with the clinic’s Physical Therapist Assistant.

• Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, staffing coverage, productivity, and patient experience.

• Coach and support clinical and administrative staff, fostering a collaborative environment.

• Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations with support from therapy leadership.

• Ensure compliance with clinical standards, organizational policies, and applicable regulations.

• Monitor clinic performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and patient satisfaction.

• Maintain staff credentialing and training requirements, along with clinic supplies and equipment.

• Address patient and employee concerns promptly and professionally.

• Build relationships with referring providers and community partners to support clinic growth.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy program.

• Current Maryland licensure in the applicable discipline.

• Three to five years of clinical experience, with the ability to practice confidently in a small clinic setting.

• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.

• Experience with electronic medical records and clinical documentation.

• Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.

• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding, Medicare and third-party billing, and workers’ compensation requirements.

• Willingness to receive coaching and develop leadership skills; prior supervisory experience is welcome but not required.

• Experience working alongside a Physical Therapist Assistant and treating older adults with complex conditions is beneficial.

Compensation and Potential Incentives

• Base salary of $90,000–$110,000, with potential to exceed the range based on experience and qualifications.

• Potential retention incentive and discretionary annual bonus tied to clinic profitability, subject to approval and agreed-upon terms.

• Coverage of the applicable professional licensing fee.

Schedule and Work Environment

This is a full-time, clinic-based position in Taneytown, Maryland. Some evenings and Saturdays may be required based on clinic operating hours and patient needs.
