Roles & Responsibilities – Head of Warehouse & Logistics

• B2B & B2C Fulfilment: Ensure accurate and timely dispatch of orders to dealers, distributors, and online customers.
• Returns Management: Oversee timely processing of B2B and B2C returns, including credit note coordination.
• Specimen Distribution: Manage annual specimen book distribution to teachers across India.
• Inventory Management: Oversee stock inwarding, placement, and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and minimise stock variance.
• Logistics Management: Monitor courier and transporter performance, onboard new vendors, and negotiate competitive rates and service terms.
• Team Leadership: Lead vertical heads and establish an effective supervision structure across warehouse operations.
• Technology & Process Improvement: Enhance operational efficiency through ERP and order management systems, automation, and AI.
• P&L and Cost Management: Monitor warehouse P&L, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement corrective actions to reduce operating costs month on month.
• Inventory Analysis: Analyse stock movement and ageing inventory to drive appropriate sale or return actions.
• Vendor Management & Agreements: Expand the vendor network to improve commercial terms, delivery service, and payment conditions, while ensuring ownership of vendor agreements and related legal documentation.

What you bring

• 10–12 years in warehousing and logistics, including 3+ years heading a large, multi-function warehouse.
• Experience with both B2B distribution and e-commerce fulfilment.
• A strong track record in inventory accuracy and process discipline.
• Comfort with ERP or WMS systems and a keen interest in automation and AI.
• Proven ability to lead and develop blue-collar teams.
• Experience in publishing, FMCG, retail or e-commerce is a plus.
