Job Title: International Operations Director or International Supply Chain Director ( I haven’t finalized the exact works between Operations and Supply Chain)
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
Location: Hong Kong, Global HQ of Qeelin
Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt
About the Role
We are seeking a uniquely qualified leader who combines deep jewelry industry expertise, world-class supply chain mastery, and strong IT/technology leadership to serve as our International Operations Director. Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive will own the end-to-end value chain for our business across all markets — while also leading the IT function focused on operational systems.
This role sits at the intersection of artistry and infrastructure: ensuring that centuries-old craftsmanship meets 21st-century compliance, security, and digital excellence. The ideal candidate is not just an operator — they are a jewelry insider who understands gold purity, diamond grading, casting techniques, hallmarking, and artisan workflows — and can translate that knowledge into scalable, secure, and intelligent systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supply Chain & Manufacturing Leadership
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain: sourcing, production, inventory, logistics, after-sales, and reverse logistics (including 24K buyback).
- Manage relationships with luxury jewelry ateliers and LBMA-approved gold refineries.
- Ensure dual-quality frameworks: emotional/aesthetic excellence for jewelry; precision/compliance for 24K gold.
- Drive responsible sourcing (RJC, OECD) and full material traceability.
2. 24K Gold Operational Integrity
- Build and maintain a secure, auditable, AML-compliant chain-of-custody for 24K products — from refinery to customer and back.
- Coordinate with Compliance and Finance on KYC, transaction monitoring, and gold inventory valuation as a financial asset.
3. IT Leadership
- Lead the global IT team with a focus on supply chain, retail, and operational systems (ERP, WMS, PLM, CRM, e-commerce backend).
- Own the technology roadmap for:
– Real-time gold pricing integration
– Anti-counterfeit serialization (e.g., laser ID + blockchain)
– Digital vault and inventory tracking
– Global warehouse and order management platforms - Ensure cybersecurity, data privacy, and system resilience across all operational tech stacks.
4. ESG, Compliance & Risk Management
- Embed regulatory requirements (PBOC, FATF, EU, U.S.) into product and process design.
- Publish transparent ESG metrics tied to sourcing, carbon, and labor practices.
- Mitigate financial, reputational, and operational risks across high-value inventory flows.
5. Organizational Leadership
- Build and lead integrated teams across Supply Chain, IT, Quality, and Logistics.
- Partner closely with Product, Retail, Compliance, and Treasury to align strategy and execution.
- Champion a culture of craftsmanship, precision, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field; MBA or technical advanced degree preferred.
- solid leadership experience in fine jewelry, luxury goods, or precious metals, with proven hands-on knowledge of:
– Jewelry manufacturing (casting, setting, polishing)
– Gemstone and metal sourcing (gold, diamonds, colored stones)
– Hallmarking, assay standards, and quality control protocols - Proven track record managing global supply chains with exposure to both B2C luxury and commodity-like products (e.g., gold bullion).
- Deep familiarity with China’s gold market regulations, AML/KYC frameworks, and international luxury compliance.
- Strong executive presence — able to engage master artisans, central bank regulators, C-suite leaders, and software engineers with equal fluency.
- Fluency in English required; Italian speaking a strong plus.
