Are you a highly skilled and motivated Financial Analyst with strong client-facing presence? As a key member of our organization, we rely on you to manage the broker commission program and take a proactive approach to address inquiries related to financial matters. With your ability to navigate complex financial details and build strong relationships, you will be responsible for internal reporting for senior leaders. Furthermore, your keen attention to detail, self-motivation, and confident demeanor will enable you manage a dashboard and provide strategic and analytic insights.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational capabilities and resourcefulness, enabling them to adeptly prioritize and reprioritize tasks as needed. You will have a proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating a strong sense of independence while maintaining a cooperative team player attitude.
This role requires being in office in downtown Toronto with flexibility to work from home up to two days/week.
Job Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Provide analytical support for business leaders to support decision making
- Support development of financial forecasts including annual operating year plans, quarterly/rolling forecasts, and long range planning exercises.
- Support analysis to drive growth and profitability, as well as cost management initatives
- Analyze performance data for variances to forecast/trend and their respective drivers.
- Financial modeling, analysis, and compilation of quantitative data
- Provide discrete and confidential handling of sensitive information
Financial Management
- Support business as a partner with respect to management of pipeline/work in progress, revenue recognition, and alignment with contract terms
- Provide finance support of day-to-day operational requests
- Support processing of commission payments on an ongoing basis
- Work with the Finance Director & business leaders supporting receivables and expense initiatives
Reporting
- Work with business leaders and senior members of the finance team to develop regular and ad-hoc reporting including informal and formal internal and reports, graphs, charts and presentations.
- Collaborate with team to develop efficient reporting strategies including automation and simplification of reporting processes while preserving data integrity
- Contribute to the timely and accurate preparation of month end reporting and forecasting deliverables and monthly financial review packages
- Organize and maintain team data collection, reporting and communication
Teamwork & Leadership
- Participate in the development and distribution of best practices, process documentation, and user support materials for data management tools
- Demonstrate high level of customer service with business leadership and finance team
- Act as advisor and partner to business leaders on financial and operational matters
- Collaborate with team to share and improve technical skills
- Identify strategic opportunities and financial risks through collaboration with cross- functional teams
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting preferred; and/or a Bachelor’s degree that emphasizes critical thinking
- 1 - 3 years of relevant Finance, Real Estate, Consulting, or other business experience
- Strong financial/analytical skills
- Ability to work with a variety of customers, including sales professionals and business leadership
- Makes timely decisions balancing effectiveness with efficiency
- Drives to effective solutions with urgency
- Advanced proficiency using Excel and PowerPoint
- Peoplesoft, Cognos/PAX, Oracle (EPBCS) and Tableau, considered an asset
- Bilingual is an asset

Estimated compensation for this position:
This range represents the estimated base salary and actual compensation may differ. Final base salary is determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations. Some roles and employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, benefits, or other compensation.
