Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team to provide services at the VAMC Lake Nona Medical Center, in Orlando Florida.
- Full-time opportunity, 40 hours per week
- Monday through Friday, 8am - 4:30pm

Requirements:
- Dental Assistants shall have successfully completed a one (1) year dentalassistant program accredited by the American Dental Association’s Commissionon Dental Accreditation (CODA).
- Dental Assistants must possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a dental assistant.
- Dental Assistants shall be competent in using four-handed dentistry, assisting with specialtyprocedures such as oral surgery, periodontal therapy, endodontics,prosthodontics and implant placement and restorations
- A Dental Radiological Certificate
- A current BLS and or/CPR card
Responsibilities:
- The Dental Assistant shall perform chairside assistant duties in all phases of dentistry including but not limited to, prosthodontics, periodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery and endodontics.
- The Dental Assistant shall be responsible for receiving routing patients, recording information related to patient care, utilization of all dental programs, and providing patient with education material related to their care. Following surgical procedures, the dental assistant shall provide proper verbal and written post-op instructions.
- The Dental Assistant shall instruct, assist, and answer questions for a variety of dental trainees in the Dental Clinic.
