About the Role
Leap29 is recruiting on behalf of a leading international engineering contractor specialising in mission-critical and industrial projects across Europe.
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join a growing Data Centre division, supporting the delivery of large-scale hyperscale projects across Germany.
Working as part of an experienced commissioning team, you will play a key role in the testing, commissioning and successful handover of complex HVAC and mechanical building services systems throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Commission, test and optimise HVAC and mechanical systems.
- Manage assigned commissioning work packages from planning through to completion.
- Coordinate commissioning activities with subcontractors, suppliers and client representatives.
- Produce commissioning documentation, test records and handover documentation.
- Support pressure testing, system validation and commissioning activities.
- Work closely with project management, construction teams and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
- Ensure all commissioning activities are completed in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
Requirements
- Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, HVAC or a related discipline.
- Previous experience within Mechanical or HVAC Commissioning.
- Previous Data Centre or Mission Critical project experience.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical building services.
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Good English language skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally for project assignments.
