Title and Summary

Senior Analyst, Revenue Accounting

The Revenue Accounting Senior Analyst is responsible for reviewing all Fundapp initiative level data and changes to data against individual signed contracts and SOWs prior to recording in financials during accounting processes. This individual will ensure that team targets and KPIs are met and/or exceeded and will support operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives. The position also has responsibility for providing information support for and review of business analysis, as well as for first level interaction with other GBSC and business unit teams in the course of issue identification and resolution.

Role
• Monitor accounting for agreements to ensure compliance with MasterCard's policies, procedures and related accounting literature
• Adheres to the monthly and year end close schedules and perform monthly reporting
• Provides insight into revenue accounting activity through preparation of management reporting, variance analysis, and ad-hoc analysis
• Performs ongoing documentation and procedures maintenance as required
• Works to continuously improve expense processes; recognizes opportunities for improvement and develops actions plans to implement them
• Represents GBSC on cross-functional project teams in support of initiatives with impact to the expense accounting process, identifies issues and develops recommendations for resolution, monitoring and reporting on progress
• Provides revenue customer service support to help resolve issues in a timely manner
• Drives front line interaction with other GBSC teams and internal business units in support of identification and resolution of processing issues.
• Participates in SOX testing and internal and external audits and respond to requests timely and appropriately

All About You
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA and/or MBA preferred
• Prior related work experience, with revenue accounting experience preferred. Knowledge of revenue accounting and management processes and systems;
• Experience in shared services/internal service delivery role a plus
• Experience as a team member on project development/implementation teams a plus
• Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Customer service skills (communication with customers and process partners)
• Excellent spreadsheet and word processing skills (Excel and Word preferred)
