Embroidery Machine Operator - Nights

In this full-time onsite production role, you will bring designs to life on t-shirts while learning screenprinting equipment, quality checks, order flow, and team-based production goals. The work is active, steady, and hands-on.

Lakeshirts offers a clear career path with on-the-job training, cross training, career levels, and advancement opportunities. Night-shift team members start at $22 per hour with opportunities to earn $29 per hour. High performers can advance, with some moving up in as little as 90 days.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2am (Nights)

A Typical Day (job functions) | Analyze + Operate + Quality Control + Repeat

• Analyze orders to identify design and determine thread colors
• Change embroidery machine threads, including threading needles
• Attach hoops to the garments
• Access order specifications through computer spreadsheets
• Navigate through computer programs to process garment order on embroidery and/or laser machine
• Operate embroidery machine computer and laser machine
• Verify quality and quantity of the clothing and embroidery
• Maintain Zephyr & Lakeshirts acceptable standard of quality per garment
• Communicate with, or walk to, inventory area to gather replacement garments as needed
• Keep work area clean and orderly
• Organize work flow
• Follow safety practices. Identify problems and work to resolve safety issues as they occur in accordance to OSHA standards
• Work actively with others to get the job done
• Other duties as assigned

 

Skills (qualifications) | Reliability + Motivation + Goal-Driven + Attention to Detail

• High school education desirable, but not required.
• Positive attitude & self-motivated
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Must be reliable, responsible and take direction well.
• Must be able to perform repetitive tasks for several hours.
• Ability to be stand for 8-10 hours a day.
• Previous production or sewing experience preferred, but not required.
• Microsoft Word, Doc and Excel experience preferred.
