Lab Assistant

We are seeking four Lab Assistants for the 2026 harvest season from mid-August to mid-December.

The successful candidates will be responsible for performing routine testing of grain samples.

What you’ll do

• Prepares daily samples for inspection.
• Sorts and files all required documents and samples.
• Records results in logbook and maintains record of samples and data logs.
• Maintains cleanliness of the lab including equipment, floors and counters.
• May assist with receiving, sorting and distributing grain samples.
• Perform routine testing of malt germinations, falling number of wheat and rye, and immunoassay of mycotoxins, protein, sizing, and test weights of malt barley.

What you bring to our team

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Detail oriented and proven organizational and time management skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations.
• Grade 12 or equivalent. Previous experience working in a lab is an asset.
