Our Corporate Services Department is looking for a professional and customer-focused Receptionist to support daily front office operations. This full-time, non-exempt position is fully on-site at our Brentwood corporate office with working hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

General Function
Provides front desk reception, administrative coordination, and Corporate Services support while creating a welcoming, secure, and professional environment for visitors, policyholders, and employees.
Major Duties and Responsibilities

- Greet visitors with quality service, meeting or exceeding established service standards.
- Handle or appropriately transfer all communications, such as incoming calls, faxes, and emails.
- Responsible for first impression to all visitors, such as Board of Directors, policyholders, visitors, vendors, and employees. Both appearance and conduct must remain consistent with SVMIC’s established professional image and environment standards.
- Quickly learn the purpose and interconnectivity of all SVMIC departments.
- Create a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining office security.
- Maintain active listening and courteous phone etiquette.
- Perform general administrative duties with attention to detail, accuracy, and in a timely manner.
- Ensure guests follow appropriate security procedures.
- Sign for deliveries and notify recipients.
- Complete incoming policyholder payment procedure.
- Edit, organize, and create daily company-wide communication.
- Responsible for keeping the Front Desk Manual up to date.
- Ensure that certified letters and certificates of mailing are recorded properly.
- Serve as back-up to Corporate Services Specialist, as needed and appropriate after training.
- Assist with the administration of employee perks, fundraising activities, and company events, including tracking participation and fee collection.
- Follow building maintenance complaint procedures and communicate concerns as appropriate. Coordinate with Director of Corporate Services for status updates and to ensure problems are resolved.
- May assist in processing invoices for the Corporate Services department.
- Assist with mail processing.
- May assist or support other departments administratively or through special projects.

Skills and Abilities Required
- Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and recognize when and how to effectively collaborate with others.
- Good keyboarding skills and proficient with Microsoft Suite of Products including Outlook, Word and Excel and able to gain proficiency quickly with other software programs.
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and responsibilities.
- Maintain professional and personable phone etiquette while employing active listening skills.

Requirements
Education and Experience
- High School diploma and 5+ years of successful professional experience or corporate-level administrative support work;
- Associate Degree or above with a minimum of 12 months’ work experience;
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
Licenses and Professional Designations
Valid Driver’s License required.
