Opportunity
PsyPhyCare, a division of Business Staffing of America, Inc., is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services within a correctional healthcare setting serving an adult female population.
This is a flexible part-time opportunity to join a multidisciplinary healthcare team providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing mental health treatment in a secure clinical environment.
Schedule
- Part-time
- Up to 16 hours per week
- Up to 8 additional hours per month as needed

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health disorders.
- Prescribe, monitor, and manage psychiatric medications.
- Develop individualized treatment recommendations and care plans.
- Document evaluations, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up visits in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with psychologists, physicians, nursing staff, and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Provide recommendations for additional behavioral health services, hospitalization, or specialty care when appropriate.
- Participate in emergency consultations and other clinical responsibilities as needed.
- Ensure all services are delivered in accordance with professional standards and applicable policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited Psychiatry Residency.
- Board Certified in Psychiatry.
- Active Virginia medical license.
- Current DEA registration.
- Current National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
