BUILDING OPERATIONS, LAB SERVICES – JLL
What this job involves:
As a Lab Services (GXP) Glass Wash Technician, you'll play a critical role in supporting laboratory operations by ensuring the proper cleaning, processing, and distribution of laboratory equipment and glassware. Working within regulated GXP environments, you'll maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance while operating specialized cleaning equipment and managing the flow of materials throughout laboratory facilities. This hands-on position combines technical expertise with attention to detail, directly enabling scientific research and laboratory excellence for our pharmaceutical and life sciences clients.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Transport laboratory equipment, glassware, and apparatus to and from designated wash areas and pickup locations throughout laboratory facilities, maintaining organized workflows and timely service delivery.
Operate and maintain various specialized cleaning equipment including tunnel washers, batch washers, sonicators, dryers, autoclaves, ovens, and tube washers according to established operating procedures and equipment manuals.
Perform customized cleaning and processing of laboratory glassware and equipment to meet specific client requirements and regulatory standards, ensuring all items are properly decontaminated and prepared for reuse.
Complete accurate GXP documentation for all cleaning, sterilization, and material handling activities, maintaining strict compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing laboratory operations.
Assist in the preparation, delivery, and processing of media and autoclaving materials, managing both clean and sterile glassware inventory to support ongoing laboratory operations.
Collaborate with laboratory staff and Lab Services team members to respond to changing priorities, special requests, and operational needs while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Provide support across other Lab Services operations as directed by management, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork to achieve departmental and company objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey driver's license with the ability to complete appropriate vehicle operation training for transporting materials and equipment between laboratory locations.
- High school diploma or equivalent with demonstrated ability to follow detailed written procedures and verbal instructions with precision and accuracy.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work in laboratory environments while adhering to established safety procedures and regulations.
- Physical capability to lift, move, and transport laboratory equipment and materials regularly throughout the workday.
- Ability to operate mechanical equipment following written manuals and standard operating procedures with attention to detail and quality outcomes.
- Demonstrated reliability in executing time-sensitive tasks and maintaining consistent work schedules that may vary based on operational requirements.
- Strong commitment to regulatory compliance and quality standards in all assigned activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in laboratory environments or with laboratory equipment cleaning and processing.
- Familiarity with GXP (Good Laboratory Practice, Good Manufacturing Practice) documentation requirements and regulatory compliance standards.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory glassware types, cleaning methods, and contamination control principles.
- Experience operating industrial washers, autoclaves, or similar specialized cleaning and sterilization equipment.
- Understanding of media preparation and sterile technique principles used in laboratory settings.
- Ability to read and interpret technical equipment manuals and standard operating procedures effectively.
- Experience working collaboratively in team-oriented environments with changing priorities and diverse stakeholders.

Estimated compensation for this position:
85,592.00 – 85,592.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
