Overview
Maintenance Specialist II is responsible for event/classroom/lab set up, maintaining and performing minor repairs to buildings, electrical fixtures and plumbing of campus building and surrounding areas based on assigned work orders. Maintaining the campus with a high level of pride is integral to the success of our students who are looking to change their lives through technical training. Candidates must be able to work safely and efficiently under general supervision and have a team player approach.

Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain structure of establishment by performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring and other related maintenance activities.
- May be responsible for general groundskeeping and building housekeeping.
- Ensure that all equipment is clean and functioning properly.
- Notify management concerning need for major repairs.
- Maintain clean and neat appearance of building.
- Assemble office furniture.
- Set up classrooms and auditoriums for campus functions.
- Adheres to standard safety practices including but not limited to wearing gloves, glasses, or other appropriate Personal Protective Equipment [PPE].
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or GED
- Experience: 1-3 years in building maintenance
- Skill #1: Intermediate skills in trades like construction, painting, plumbing, and electrical.
- Skill #2: Ability to provide adaptable work schedule
- Skill #3: Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
