Our client is currently hiring a Backend Developer (Java) to join their amazing team
About the role: You will have the opportunity to advance your career and strengthen your skills within the organisation's technology universe. They are an international Tech Hub, looking for the best Backend specialists to join their centres of excellence and community. Team members will help transform the world as we know it, developing unique and innovative solutions across a wide range of complex transformation projects, from Portugal to the world. They are strengthening their Software Development area and are looking for experienced professionals with a genuine aptitude for teamwork and multi-project environments. Depending on the candidate's profile, there are various roles available, offering the chance to take a real step forward in their career.
What you'll do:
- Integrating and actively participating in technology consulting projects, with the possibility of coordinating and operationally supervising teams;
- Participating in transformation projects to create solutions aligned with the needs of their clients, both national and international;
- Involvement in the various phases of a technology project, such as software design, development, implementation and testing;
- Planning, executing and/or autonomously coordinating the activities required to deliver the various outputs within a project or project stream;
- Responsibly managing, within their scope of action, the day-to-day relationship with the client.
Requirements:
- Degree/Master's in Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering and/or similar fields;
- Between 1 and 6 years of professional experience in software development projects;
- Prior experience in Banking, Insurance and/or Real Estate is valued (optional);
- Knowledge of core banking and/or insurance systems technologies is valued (e.g. Mambu, Guidewire, Finastra, TIA);
- Experience in the design, implementation and roll-out of information systems;
- Experience in the design and/or development of Web or Enterprise Java-based applications;
- Experience in development projects using other languages, such as .NET or GO, is also valued;
- Standards for communication with other systems (JDBC, JMS, RESTful Web Services, SOAP Web Services, RPC);
- Prior experience in projects using Agile and Scrum methodology is valued;
- Fluent English, spoken and written (mandatory);
- Client and results orientation;
- Good communication skills, interpersonal relationships, teamwork;
- Critical and analytical thinking.
