The Clinical Research Nurse I is part of the GI Hepatology clinical team in the Clinical Trials Unit (CTU). This individual will coordinate the implementation of clinical research projects; organize the clinical research team; and serve as a navigator for study subjects during the research process.
This position will work with the Principal Investigator (PI) to develop a recruitment plan for each assigned protocol and identify potential sources for subjects by establishing appropriate networks to support referrals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct/monitor the screening and recruitment of subjects for research trials using knowledge of current protocols and inclusion/exclusion criteria to determine subject eligibility.
Educate subjects on protocol-related procedures/assessments in which they must participate as a study subjects.
Collect, organize, and maintain data and test results for source documentation of all research subjects.
Write orders and administer medication/devices for the clinical care of research subjects as allowed based on licensure.
Assist in managing the study subjects' health status during research care and developing treatment plans related to the research protocol.
Conduct any needed physical assessments using protocols for review by the PI when appropriate.
Target Compensation Maximum:
$91,721.00Target Compensation Minimum:
$61,147.00Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
