Job Summary/Overview: The Watch Polisher will be responsible for performing high-standard polishing and re-finishing on luxury watches crafted from various precious metals, including steel, gold, and platinum. This role is crucial in preparing watches for final repair by ensuring impeccable aesthetic quality and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform expert level polishing, re-finishing, and cleaning of luxury watch cases and components.
- Adhere strictly to established guidelines and work procedures to ensure consistent quality.
- Meet defined lead times for all polishing tasks to support efficient workflow.
- Maintain a highly organized and clean polishing station and equipment.
- Manage and monitor the stock of polishing consumables, ensuring availability.
- Collaborate effectively with the team to optimize daily and weekly workload.
- Accurately record and report daily figures related to polishing activities.
- Strictly follow all safety rules and regulations within the workshop environment.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in polishing luxury watches.
- Technical Skills:
- Demonstrated knowledge of various polishing techniques, including lapping, mirror polish, and satining.
- Proficiency in using lapping machines, specialized tools, and attachments (e.g., Crevoisier).
- Language Skills: At least basic level of written and spoken English.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional attention to detail and a focused approach to work.
- High level of manual dexterity and precision.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Certifications or proof of training from recognized watchmaking or polishing institutions/brands are an advantage.
