What you'll be doing

Distribution Strategy & Planning supports the services and vendor partnerships that help keep our ATM and cash distribution network running smoothly for clients and internal partners. As a Vendor Manager, ATM & Cash Distribution Services, you’ll manage the overall relationship with one or more vendors and help ensure service, operational, and strategic requirements are met. You’ll act as a key liaison between external service providers and internal lines of business, supporting governance, service delivery, issue resolution, and contract activities. You’ll also contribute to projects, requests for proposal, and vendor-related initiatives that support CIBC’s distribution strategy and planning priorities. In this role, you’ll use sound judgment, strong operational knowledge, and investigative skills to manage day-to-day activities, identify opportunities for improvement, and support business continuity across the team.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

  • Vendor relationship management - Manage assigned vendor relationships for ATM and cash distribution services, ensuring service expectations, operational requirements, and business needs are clearly understood and supported.

  • Governance and service reviews - Schedule and lead quarterly governance and scorecard meetings, review action items, gather input from business partners, track resolutions, and escalate unresolved issues with clear timelines.

  • Performance monitoring - Evaluate vendor performance against service level agreements (SLAs), document service feedback, and identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve service quality and consistency.

  • Risk, audit and compliance - Support a strong control environment by ensuring information security, compliance, and audit requirements are met, while tracking, escalating, and recommending solutions for procedural or control gaps.

  • Strategic support and project participation - Participate in projects, requests for proposal, and contract-related activities, including working with Corporate Sourcing and internal partners to support new agreements and vendor-related initiatives.

  • Operational partnership - Provide backup support to the Director and team members, including support for internal help desks and shared mailboxes related to armoured car and ATM services, while helping internal partners resolve issues and access the right expertise.

Who you are

  • You have relevant operational expertise. You bring strong knowledge of ATM operations and cash distribution strategies, including related services such as vaulting. You understand the operational, vendor, and service considerations required to support a reliable network.

  • You know the regulatory and technical environment. You have knowledge of Interac operating regulations, PCI PIN mandates, and ATM monitoring tools and platforms such as Radia, Tango/PayHub, and Splunk.

  • You're a skilled relationship manager. You build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and you bring excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and mediation skills to every interaction.

  • You think critically and solve problems with confidence. You enjoy investigating complex issues, analyzing information, and developing practical recommendations that support business and client outcomes.

  • You communicate with impact. You can clearly share detailed information, influence decisions, and support senior leader discussions with thoughtful recommendations and well-organized insights. You also have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Values matter to you. You bring your real self to work, and you live our values - trust, teamwork, and accountability.
