QA/QC Technician - Utility Solar (100% Travel)
Location: Nationwide Travel (Projects throughout the Midwest & Western U.S.)
Pay: $26-$33/hour (DOE)
Schedule: Full-Time | Permanent | Typically starts at 6:00 AM
Are you experienced in quality control on utility-scale solar projects? We're hiring QA/QC Technicians to support large-scale solar construction projects across the Midwest and Western United States. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with 100% travel, making it ideal for candidates who enjoy working on projects across the country.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality inspections on posts, racking systems, and solar module installations
- Document inspection and testing results accurately
- Complete inspection reports and quality control documentation
- Identify installation deficiencies and incorrect practices before work progresses
- Partner with the Quality Control Manager to maintain project quality standards
- Ensure work complies with project specifications and safety requirements
Qualifications
- Previous QA/QC experience in utility-scale solar construction preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safety and producing quality work
Requirements
- OSHA 10 Certification
- NFPA 70E Certification
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Willingness to travel 100% to projects throughout the Midwest and Western U.S.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions for extended periods
