Overview

CVP is seeking a senior Capture Lead to drive business development and capture efforts within the Veterans Affairs market. This role owns the full capture lifecycle and works in close coordination with CVP's VA market leads while independently executing capture strategy across a dynamic and high-priority portfolio. The capture lead will focus on long-term, programmatic priorities of VA and work with capability leaders and teaming partners to develop comprehensive technical solutions and price-to-win strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Engage early with VA stakeholders to influence procurement requirements and align CVP capabilities with upcoming initiatives
  • Identify, qualify, and track new business and recompete opportunities
  • Develop and manage opportunity-specific Capture Plans including gap analysis, competitive intelligence, win themes, and opportunity reviews
  • Evaluate, select, and negotiate with teaming partners and subcontractors to strengthen competitive positioning
  • Partner with proposal and technical teams to ensure compliant, high quality submissions that address customer priorities
  • Connect legislative and policy trends to actionable capture strategies
  • Collaborate closely with VA market leads to align capture efforts with overall market strategy

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of federal capture management or business development experience in GovCon
  • Deep Veterans Affairs domain expertise including health IT modernization, care delivery transformation, and interoperability
  • Working knowledge of federal acquisition processes and contract vehicles
  • Established relationships across VA program offices and key stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of VA-relevant legislation and how it influences agency priorities
  • Exceptional communication, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Flexible and comfortable operating in ambiguous or fast-moving environments
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Local to the DC Metro Area

Salary Band: $160,000 - 180,000 (Depending on experience)
