The Head of Development is responsible for leading and directing the software development teams and interfacing with each senior managers to achieve the objectives of the company. This includes providing leadership , direction and communication for all areas relating to software development to both internal and external customers. Work with divisional heads to deliver the TSS strategic plan . To monitor, assess and ensure that customer delivery is consistent and optimal across TSS. To consolidate and standardize to drive appropriate adoption of new and emerging processes and technologies and achieve efficiency gains across the division by leveraging the use of standard processes and automation. The goal is to enable the provision of a world class customer service and create a clearer career path for our people.

Job Description:

Leading larger and diverse software development teams across geographies and supporting all development managers/heads in achieving organizational objectives.
Build a culture of high performance by practicing and assigning appropriate responsibilities to all senior managers.
Engaging and supporting process improvement activity across development, focusing on reducing excess cost and improving efficiency
Ensuring robust monitoring, controlling, and reporting processes are in place and working effectively. Use high performance metrics and tools.
Ensuring adherence to agreed development processes standards and policies. 
Building strong relationships with teams and internal stakeholders to enable effective collaboration, able to articulate and passionately present software digital concepts to senior stakeholders.
Simplify communication to ensure synergy between software development and product and divisional teams and work as one team.
Ensuring all engagements have agreed MSA/SoWs / Agreements detailing scope, expectations, governance including commercial arrangements with clear responsibilities
Working with support functions like HR, legal, finance, commercial & enablement to ensure all activities are completed on time and documentations are in place.
Sponsoring initiatives for continuous improvement by taking inspiration from global and industry best practices
Representing and leading organizational capability improvement at the highest level.
Establishing organizational strategy to mitigate Org /divisional level risks.
Breaking the culture of working as silos and ensuring cross usage of skill across projects
Ensuring optimal loading and efficient utilization of resources
Ensuring people wellbeing is prioritised in all planning and execution. 
Ensuring recognition and rewards are appropriate to improve morale of the team.
