Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Security Guard - Corporate Site in North York, Ontario.  

 

Job Title: Security Guard - Corporate Site

Location: North York, ON

Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Shifts: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday; 12:30am-8:30am

 

 

Overview :

 

We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Security Guard for a Corporate Site in North York, ON. This position is ideal for individuals who excel in a corporate environment, possess strong communication skills, and are committed to providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe and secure workplace.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Access Control: Monitor building entry and exit points, verify employee and visitor identification, issue visitor passes, and ensure only authorized personnel access the premises. Operate and monitor access control systems, including key cards and visitor management software.

• Patrolling: Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of office floors, common areas, parking garages, loading docks, and building perimeter to identify security risks, safety hazards, and unauthorized activity.

• Surveillance Monitoring: Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and other security technologies from the Security Operations Centre (SOC) or security desk. Respond promptly to alarms, suspicious activity, and security incidents.

• Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies, fire alarms, building evacuations, security incidents, and other emergencies. Follow established site procedures and coordinate with emergency services (Police, Fire, and EMS) when required.

• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by assisting employees, tenants, contractors, and visitors with directions, access requests, and general inquiries while maintaining a professional and welcoming presence.

• Incident Reporting: Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift reports, documenting all security-related events, observations, and actions taken.

• Policy Enforcement: Enforce corporate building policies, including access control procedures, visitor protocols, parking regulations, health and safety standards, and emergency procedures to maintain a safe and secure workplace.

REQUIREMENTS :

• Open availability for rotational shifts, including days, nights, and weekends 
• Must be able to reliably commute to the location
• Ability to operate technology and wireless communication systems at client-specific sites
• Must have a valid Ontario Security License. 
• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week. 
• First Aid and CPR 
• Must be at least 18 years old. 
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience 
• Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 kilograms.
