Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Driving Role in South Gate, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with store leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support access awareness, observe policy-related concerns, and report suspicious or unauthorized activity.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related concerns in a timely manner, and share relevant information with Allied Universal supervisors and/or site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 1+ years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
