About the Role
Join Instead as a Software Engineering Intern and work alongside our core engineering team in San Francisco. You will contribute to production features, learn from experienced engineers, and gain hands-on experience building the future of tax technology.
What You Will Do
- Build and ship features across our full-stack platform (Vue.js/Nuxt frontend, Go backend)
- Collaborate with product, design, and tax domain experts
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and engineering discussions
- Work on real projects that impact thousands of tax professionals
What We Are Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Familiarity with web development (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS)
- Exposure to backend development (Go, Python, or similar)
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn
- Ability to work onsite in San Francisco
