Electronics Technician (BIO-MED II)
Location: Ft Dix, NJ
Salary: SCA Rate + Health & Welfare
Start date: Immediately
Education & Experience: Must be graduated from a DoD or civilian biomedical technical school (e.g. DoD BMET Basic Course) and have knowledge of schematics and the ability to work independently on repairs, safety testing and provide preventative maintenance. Be able to maintain records, write reports, and coordinate outside repairs if needed. The desired minimum experience of this position is three (3) years’. This individual must have advanced knowledge of military policies, practices, procedures and have knowledge of medical equipment.
Responsibilities:
The Electronics Technician Maintenance II applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. This technician works under immediate supervision
and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician.
