Meat Cutter/Butcher Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Cutter to join our team. Meat Cutter/Butcher Job Requirements
- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specified standards and customer orders
- Package meat products securely for retail or wholesale distribution
- Ensure all meat handling complies with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and rotating stock
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment in accordance with health regulations
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and offering product recommendations when needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and product quality throughout the production process
Meat Cutter/Butcher Experience
- Previous experience in food production or food preparation is preferred
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is advantageous
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of meat cutting techniques are essential
- Experience in the food industry, especially in meat cutting or food handling roles, is highly desirable
- Familiarity with food safety protocols and sanitation standards is required
- Restaurant experience or work within the food industry will be considered a plus
