Description
Lumenis is seeking a highly motivated, positive and bright Test Technician to join our small company atmosphere with opportunities to learn and grow.
PRIMARY FUNCTION
- Responsible for assembly, alignment and testing of laser cavities
- Troubleshoot, repair and testing of RMA cavities for service replacement
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assembly, alignment, and testing, both new and recondition cavities
- Ensure all test equipment is properly calibrated.
- Ensure all consumable items in assigned and common areas with expiration dates are not expired.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels to ensure parts are available when needed.
- Ensure all inventory levels in assigned areas are accurate as related to SAP.
- Ensure all applicable test procedures and instructions are followed, maintained and updated as necessary.
- Ensure all documentation (Device History Records, etc.) are completely, accurately, and legibly filled out.
- Ensure all computer related transactions (Backflush, Transfers, Tracking system, etc.) are conducted immediately upon completion of system or item.
- Ensure all Non Conforming Material is dispositioned and transacted daily.
- Maintain and use all provided ESD and safety equipment when required.
- Keep area of responsibility as well as common areas clean and well organized.
- Meet the weekly production cavity need and any other weekly goals as assigned.
- Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
- Sustain all 5S activities with ongoing continuous improvements
OTHER DUTIES
- Regular attendance is an essential requirement
- Performs related work as assigned and/or required
QUALIFYING EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Requirements)
- Requires an associate's degree or equivalent.
- Requires a minimum of 2+ years of related experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Entry Requirements)
Knowledge of:
- Electronic theory
- Optical/mechanical assembly
- Good troubleshooting skills
Ability to:
- Read and interpret work instructions, schematics and drawings
- Work with a wide variety of tools and equipment in assembling and testing materials.
- Simple oral and written communication
Skill in:
- Personal computer – basic use and understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and specialized programs. (SAP) would be a plus
- Use of electronic test equipment
PHYISICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged sitting, standing
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity to work with sensitive optical and mechanical devices
