We specialize in placing executives in medium-sized enterprises and private equity portfolio firms across DACH, MEAI, ASIA, and ANZ regions. With a deep understanding of the DACH economy, we facilitate successful placements within global management teams across corporate headquarters and entities abroad.
Our client is an established German industrial group and one of the leading international suppliers of systems for the automotive sector. With production sites on several continents and a long tradition of engineering quality, the company serves major vehicle manufacturers worldwide. To strengthen the finance function at one of its international production sites, we are seeking a dedicated Financial Controller.
As Financial Controller, you will ensure that the site's financial figures are accurate, complete, and delivered on time. You will own the recurring reporting cycle, maintain the required group templates, and contribute to forecasts and the annual budget, working closely with local management and the international finance organization. This role suits a professional who values structure and consistency and takes pride in delivering dependable numbers month after month. It offers a clearly defined area of responsibility within a globally established organization and a solid foundation for further development in controlling.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports in line with group standards and deadlines
- Complete and submit the required reporting templates and data sheets accurately and on schedule
- Support month-end and year-end closing in close coordination with accounting
- Contribute to the annual budget and the regular forecast cycles for the site
- Analyze deviations between plan, forecast, and actual figures and explain the key drivers
- Monitor cost centers and production-related costs and flag irregularities at an early stage
- Maintain reporting files, master data, and recurring calculations
- Provide local management with reliable figures and concise commentary for decision-making
- Handle routine requests from group finance and auditors and supply the necessary documentation
- Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and group accounting guidelines
- Identify opportunities to simplify and standardize recurring reporting processes
To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and experiences:
- University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a comparable discipline
- Three to five years of experience in controlling or financial reporting, ideally within a manufacturing environment
- Experience within an international group with structured reporting requirements; an automotive background is an advantage
- Solid knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Hands-on experience with SAP FI/CO or a comparable ERP system
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence in working with larger data sets
- High degree of accuracy, reliability, and discipline in meeting deadlines
- Ability to deliver consistent quality on recurring tasks
- Clear communication with finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Fluent English; additional language skills are an advantage
