Description
Overview
Change Grow Live are a charity dedicated to the belief that we can make a difference to our Service Users lives, offering support and respect in a safe environment, treating each user as an individual and working with them to find the right treatment and care options.
Our core values are ‘Be open, be compassionate and be bold’ and our team members apply these daily to achieve our mission of helping people change the direction of their lives, grow as individuals, and live life to its full potential.
We’re looking for an IT Service Lifecycle Manager to coordinate the technology behind some of the most important changes across Change Grow Live.
When one of our services opens, relocates, changes or closes, there is a lot happening behind the scenes. Equipment needs to arrive, colleagues need the right access, network connectivity needs to be ready, engineers and suppliers may need to attend site, and support arrangements need to be in place.
Your role will be to bring all of that together.
Location: Remote with opportunity to work from your closest regional hub, regular travel to CGL locations when required.
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week*
Contract Type: Permanent
Responsibilities
What you'll be doing
You’ll take ownership of coordinating IT activity throughout the lifecycle of our services, working with operational colleagues, Field Engineers, technical teams, suppliers and partners to make sure everything is ready when it needs to be.
You'll help to:
- Coordinate IT delivery for new services, relocations, closures and service changes
- Turn operational requirements into clear, manageable IT actions and delivery plans
- Coordinate equipment, user access, licences, connectivity, infrastructure and support readiness
- Work closely with Field Engineers to arrange surveys, installations, moves, removals and other site activity
- Coordinate with network teams and suppliers on connectivity installations and changes
- Track actions, deadlines, risks and dependencies and make sure blockers are resolved or escalated early
- Keep operational colleagues and IT teams informed with clear and useful progress updates
- Support services through go-live and transition into ongoing IT support
- Review completed implementations and identify opportunities to make future delivery even better.
The IT Service Lifecycle Manager is responsible for coordinating the IT activity required when services open, close, relocate or undergo significant change. The role ensures that the technology needed by operational teams, including equipment, user access, connectivity, infrastructure and support arrangements, is planned and delivered at the right time.
Working across operational services, Field Engineering, Service Desk, IT Assets & Purchasing, network teams, suppliers and other stakeholders, the postholder acts as the link between business requirements and technical delivery. They will turn service requirements into coordinated plans, maintain oversight of actions and dependencies, identify risks and blockers, and make sure everyone involved understands what needs to happen and when.
A key focus is service readiness. Whether supporting a new service opening, an office move, a change to an existing location or a service closure, the Lifecycle Manager will make sure IT activity is coordinated from initial requirements through to implementation, go-live, operational handover and post-implementation support.
This role would suit someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex activity, is comfortable coordinating several pieces of work simultaneously and can communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical colleagues. They need enough IT understanding to ask the right questions, spot problems early and make sure the right technical teams are engaged.
Ultimately, the role is there to make IT change feel organised and dependable for frontline services, helping them open well, change smoothly, close safely and transition into ongoing support with confidence.
You'll be comfortable managing several competing priorities at once and able to maintain oversight of the detail without losing sight of the bigger picture. You'll be confident working with a wide range of people, from operational managers and frontline colleagues through to engineers, technical specialists and external suppliers.
You'll need a good understanding of IT in a large or multi-site environment and be able to translate operational requirements into meaningful actions for technical teams.
Most importantly, you'll recognise that successful IT delivery isn't simply about completing a technical task. It's about making sure our services and colleagues have the technology they need to do their jobs effectively.
Experience in IT project coordination, service transition, infrastructure delivery, site implementations or similar operational IT change would be particularly valuable. Familiarity with ITIL, PRINCE2, Agile project management or continuous improvement approaches would also be beneficial, although these qualifications are listed as desirable rather than essential.
