Now Brewing – manager, Partner Resources (HR Business Partner), New England/ New York State! #tobeapartner

From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.

As a Partner Resources Manager, you serve as a strategic people partner, trusted advisor, and advocate for both partners and business leaders. In this role, you help bring Starbucks' mission and values to life by developing and executing people strategies that strengthen leadership capability, foster an inclusive and high-performing culture, and create exceptional partner experiences that drive business success.

Working closely with operational leaders and Partner Resources teams, you influence key business decisions, provide expert consultation on people matters, and help shape an environment where partners can thrive. Through strategic partnership, coaching, and data-informed decision making, you enable leaders to grow their teams, navigate change, and deliver results while putting partners at the center of every decision.

As a Partner Resources manager, you will…

  • Partner Strategically: Build trusted relationships with business leaders, Partner Resources Centers of Excellence, and cross-functional teams to understand business priorities and workforce needs. Translate business strategies into actionable people plans that strengthen organizational effectiveness, enhance partner experiences, and drive sustainable business results.
  • Champion the Partner Experience: Serve as a trusted advocate for partners and leaders by navigating complex partner relations matters with care, empathy, and sound judgment. Connect partners with resources, benefits, and development opportunities that support engagement, inclusion, growth, and well-being.
  • Drive Business Performance Through People: Lead the execution of Partner Resources programs, initiatives, and talent strategies that align with enterprise priorities while addressing regional business needs. Leverage workforce insights, data, and trends to inform decisions, identify opportunities, and improve organizational outcomes.
  • Consult, Coach, and Influence: Provide strategic coaching and consultation to leaders on talent planning, organizational design, performance management, partner relations, employment practices, and change management. Influence decisions that strengthen leadership capability, increase partner engagement, improve retention, and build diverse talent pipelines for the future.
  • Lead Through Change: Support leaders and partners through periods of growth, transformation, and organizational change. Foster resilience, transparency, and accountability while helping teams successfully navigate evolving business needs.

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • 6+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in a business partner, generalist, employee relations, talent management, or specialty HR function.
  • 3+ years of experience partnering with leaders to diagnose business challenges and implement people strategies that improve organizational and business outcomes.
