Description
Leidos Energy is a ~$1.4B business, and one of Leidos' five growth pillars under the NorthStar 2030 Strategy, with ambitions to exceed $2B in the next few years. As Senior Manager, FP&A, you will be a key financial leader supporting the Vice President, Finance & Business Operations (F&BO) and the broader Energy Leadership Team, driving the forecasting, reporting, and analytical rigor that underpins the business's growth strategy, investment decisions, and operating performance.
At Leidos, we deliver innovative solutions through the efforts of our diverse and talented people, guided by a commitment to doing right by our customers, our people, and our communities.
About Leidos Energy
Leidos Energy is an ENR top-ranked energy engineering provider to a broad range of investor-owned utilities, coop utilities, energy project investors and developers, power generators, and well-known industrial clients. Our commercial services include electric and gas transmission and distribution (T&D); generation, investor, and developer consulting and analysis; energy efficiency facility engineering; utility energy efficiency program design and implementation; digital utility services; communication system engineering; and project management across a broad range of energy-related projects.
Based in Reston, Virginia, this role sits at the intersection of Leidos' deep government-market expertise and a rapidly evolving energy and infrastructure market — a distinctive opportunity for finance professionals from government contracting or commercial backgrounds to grow into a fast-scaling commercial energy business, without leaving the broader Leidos ecosystem.

The Senior Manager will lead a team of approximately 4-5 FP&A professionals within the ~100-person F&BO organization and will partner closely with the Leidos Energy SVP & Business Area Manager, F&BO Division Leaders, Program Finance/Project Controls, cash management, and Accounting to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely financial insight across the business.

- Help modernize the FP&A operating model through advanced analytics, automation, and responsible adoption of AI, improving forecast accuracy and decision speed
- Analyze business trends across the six portfolios (e.g., revenue, pipeline, margin, customer demand) and proactively flag risks and opportunities to the VP F&BO.
- Monitor macro-economic factors affecting energy and utility markets, including interest rates, inflation, and tariffs, and assess their potential impact on portfolio performance.
- Use publicly available utility spend data to benchmark performance, identify market opportunities, & support forecasting.
