Description

At South Bow, we do one thing, and we do it well: safely moving oil between some of the world’s most critical markets. We’re building our high-performing team with versatile thinkers who thrive on solving big challenges together. If you’re ready for a position where your skills are highly valued and your work is incredibly important, we want to meet you. Bring your talents to a new streamlined energy company, dedicated to operational, commercial and safety excellence as we pursue our critical purpose of delivering the energy people need.

The Opportunity:

South Bow is seeking a Land and Public Awareness Summer Student beginning May 2027 for a 4-month work term.  The successful candidate is a curious, resourceful and detail-oriented individual who will contribute to work involving land administration, stakeholder records management, regulatory compliance and public awareness. The student will take ownership of clearly defined assignments that improve the accuracy, organization and usability of land and stakeholder information, with regular coaching and feedback. This position provides practical exposure to the commercial, legal, regulatory and operational dimensions of land work while contributing to safe, compliant and responsive pipeline operations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain accurate land, landowner and stakeholder information across Pandell LandWorks, the customer relationship management (CRM) system and other business tools.
  • Scan, classify and organize physical land files; link documents to the correct electronic records; and identify records eligible for disposition under approved requirements.
  • Assess records for accuracy and completeness; flag missing, duplicated or conflicting information; correct issues within scope; and document items that require further action.
  • Help organize and improve land information by refining workflows, documenting procedures, supporting system changes and transferring information between platforms.
  • Partner with the Geographic Information System (GIS) team to compare mapped features with land records, investigate discrepancies and create straightforward map products using online mapping tools.
  • Investigate agreements, title information, commitments, municipal requirements, land-use plans, reclamation documentation and applicable regulatory requirements, then present the results in a clear and useful format.
  • Draft and update public awareness materials, presentations, stakeholder communications and consultation records.
  • Work with colleagues across Operations, Projects, Regulatory, Legal, Community and Indigenous Relations, Environment, Pipe Integrity and GIS on assigned initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Actively enrolled in a relevant post-secondary program, such as land administration or management, geography, geomatics, GIS, information or records management, business, planning, communications, public relations or environmental studies.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft 365 applications—particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint—to organize information and produce accurate work.
  • Must provide transcripts upon application
