Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM Central Time
Shift Type: Overnight — four scheduled 12-hour shifts per week

Position Overview

Treston Security Services is seeking a dependable and observant Unarmed Security Officer to provide overnight security at a construction site in Hillsboro, Tennessee.

The officer will help protect the property, equipment, and construction materials by maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring access, conducting assigned patrols, and promptly reporting suspicious activity or safety concerns. This role requires reliability, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to remain attentive while working overnight.

A valid Tennessee Guard Card, reliable transportation, and availability for the full assigned schedule are required. At least one year of previous security experience is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible security presence. Monitor the construction site and help deter unauthorized entry, theft, vandalism, and other activity that could compromise the property.
• Conduct assigned patrols. Inspect designated areas of the site, including accessible perimeter areas, gates, entry points, equipment storage areas, and other locations identified in the post orders.
• Monitor site access. Verify authorization for individuals or vehicles entering the property when required and document access activity according to site procedures.
• Observe equipment and materials. Watch for signs of tampering, unauthorized removal, damage, or suspicious activity involving construction equipment, tools, and stored materials.
• Identify and report safety concerns. Promptly communicate unsecured access points, damaged fencing, fire hazards, leaks, or other observed conditions requiring attention. Follow site safety procedures and remain outside restricted or hazardous work areas unless authorized.
• Respond appropriately to incidents. Follow established reporting and escalation procedures, request assistance when necessary, and act within the scope of assigned duties and training.
• Maintain accurate documentation. Complete required activity logs, patrol records, and incident reports with clear, factual information.
• Communicate effectively. Keep supervisors informed of relevant activity and provide an accurate handoff to relieving personnel when applicable.
• Demonstrate reliability and professionalism. Arrive on time, remain alert throughout the shift, and follow all assigned post orders and site-specific instructions.

Required Qualifications

• Possess a current, valid Tennessee Guard Card, available for verification.
• Possess reliable transportation to and from the assigned construction site in Hillsboro.
• Be available to work the full Monday–Thursday overnight schedule, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
• Demonstrate the ability to remain attentive and dependable during overnight assignments.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors, site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders when necessary.
• Follow written and verbal instructions, maintain accurate records, and promptly report incidents or concerns.
• Exercise sound judgment and work independently while following established security procedures.

Preferred Experience

At least one year of previous security experience is preferred but not required.

Relevant experience may include property protection, overnight security, access control, patrol duties, or construction-site security. Applicants without one year of experience may still be considered if they meet the mandatory licensing, transportation, availability, and other required qualifications.

Work Environment

This assignment takes place at an active construction site during overnight hours. Duties may involve standing, walking designated patrol routes, and monitoring outdoor areas in varying weather conditions.

Officers must remain aware of construction-related hazards, follow site-specific safety instructions, and perform assigned duties safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Schedule and Availability

Officers must be available for shifts beginning Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 6:00 PM and ending the following morning at 6:00 AM. The final scheduled shift of the week begins Thursday evening and ends Friday morning.

Availability for the complete assigned schedule and reliable attendance are essential requirements of this position.
