JOB SUMMARY

At Caesars Republic Scottsdale, WOLF by Vanderpump is a rooftop restaurant and bar created by global hospitality icon Lisa Vanderpump, where bold design, vibrant energy, and artfully crafted cuisine come together to deliver an unforgettable dining experience. As a Prep/Pastry Cook, you'll play a vital role in the kitchen's success, laying the groundwork for exceptional service. Working under the guidance of the Executive Chef, you'll prepare doughs, batters, and a variety of ingredients while producing high-quality, visually appealing menu items. From precise knife skills and consistent batch preparation to baking and station setup, your attention to detail and craftsmanship will ensure the kitchen is fully prepared, and every dish starts with excellence.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Prepare pastries, cakes, cookies, pies, tarts, bread, and other desserts from scratch, following recipes and specific guidelines.
• Accurately measure and mix ingredients, ensuring the correct proportions and consistency for doughs and batters.
• Decorate and garnish pastries and desserts to ensure visual appeal, including using icing, fondant, chocolate, and other creative techniques.
• Use a variety of baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, and specialized tools, ensuring they are maintained and cleaned regularly.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of baking supplies and ingredients, ordering ingredients when necessary, and ensuring freshness.
• Prepare ingredients, sauces, dressings, and components for daily service
• Follow prep lists and recipe standards with accuracy, consistency, and care
• Label, date, and store all prepped items in compliance with food safety guidelines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked prep station at all times
• Support the culinary team by anticipating needs and staying ahead of volume
• Assist with receiving, rotating, and storing deliveries as needed
• Communicate clearly with chefs and line cooks to keep operations running smoothly
• Take on additional duties as assigned by management to support the smooth operation of the hotel

WHAT YOU BRING

• Prior experience in a professional kitchen or bakery, particularly in pastry preparation, is preferred.
• Proficiency in baking techniques, decorating, and using specialized tools such as pastry bags, icing tools, and molds.
• A strong eye for detail is important to ensure desserts are both delicious and visually appealing.
• Previous prep cook experience in a high-volume or upscale kitchen preferred
• Solid knife skills, knowledge of kitchen safety, and ability to follow detailed recipes
• A calm, focused presence and the ability to work independently
• Excellent organization and attention to detail — you take pride in doing it right
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift/carry up to 50 lbs
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
