Purpose:

 

• Lead reliability engineering for critical Trade and Working Capital platforms, ensuring services are available, resilient, secure and performant.
• Define and embed Service Level Indicators, Service Level Objectives and error-budget practices aligned to customer and business criticality.
• Engineer observability, automation and self-healing capabilities that detect issues early, accelerate recovery and reduce manual operational effort.
• Partner with product, engineering and architecture teams to build reliability, scalability, recoverability and operability into solution design.
• Lead response to complex incidents and use data-driven root cause analysis to eliminate repeat failures and strengthen production resilience.
• Coach engineers and influence suppliers to adopt consistent SRE standards, production readiness controls and continuous improvement practices.

 

SRE Experience:

 

• 8+ years across site reliability, platform engineering, DevOps, production engineering or application support for critical enterprise services.
• Reliability Engineering:
• Strong application of SLI, SLO, error budgets, capacity planning, performance engineering, resilience patterns and reliability risk management.
• Observability:
• Hands-on experience designing actionable telemetry across logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, alerting and service health.
• Automation:
• Strong scripting or software engineering capability to automate operations, remove toil and build safe, repeatable recovery mechanisms.
• Incident Leadership:
• Proven leadership of major incidents, technical recovery, root cause analysis, post-incident reviews and remediation governance.

 

 

Platforms & Tooling:

 

• Experience across cloud and on-prem platforms, CI/CD, containers, APIs, middleware, databases, batch, messaging and enterprise monitoring tools.
• Trade Domain:
• Experience in regulated banking or financial services; knowledge of Trade Finance, Working Capital, payments or liquidity platforms is desirable.
• Risk & Controls:
• Understanding of technology risk, cyber security, change governance, disaster recovery, business continuity and audit obligations.
• Stakeholder Leadership:
• Able to communicate service risk and technical decisions clearly to business and technology leaders during high-pressure events.
• Leadership:
• Demonstrated ability to coach engineers, shape engineering practices and influence delivery teams and third-party providers.
