Description

This is not your mother's internship. Growth Engineering at Blaze is for people who believe the best marketers of the next decade will write code, and the best engineers will know how to get attention.

Blaze (YC S24) is the agentic finance platform. For businesses it's an AI CFO that pays bills, invoices clients, and forecasts cash. For people it's an agent that sends money, converts currencies, and manages your finances globally. It installs with one command (npx @blaze-money/cli), and we're onboarding our first businesses now, with a special focus on trades businesses (HVAC, repair, remodeling) and property managers.

We're a team of five. You'll work directly with the CEO, and your work will ship.

What this role is:

You'll build the growth machine. You're turning tokens into distribution and code into customers. You'll use AI tools and code to find the people who need Blaze, get in front of them, figure out what works, and build repeatable systems around what does.

The work will be dynamic. Some weeks you're shipping a landing page experiment. Some weeks you're building an AI-powered lead-gen and outreach pipeline. Some weeks you're producing AI-generated content and wiring up the analytics to see what landed. Some weeks you're doing something neither of us has thought of yet. If you need a structured, predictable internship, this isn't it.

What you'll work on:

  • Building AI-powered prospecting and outreach pipelines to reach trades businesses and property managers who'd rather not think about their finances again
  • Running growth experiments end to end: landing pages, onboarding, SEO and content, referral loops. Then measuring them honestly
  • Automating content creation pipelines with the latest models and code
  • Building internal tools, scripts, and agents that make a five-person team move like a fifty-person one
  • Special projects assigned directly by the CEO, anything from growth experiments to product research to operational initiatives

You are:

  • AI-pilled. You live in tools like Claude Code and Cursor, and you've built something with an agent this month. If you haven't yet, spend an hour after reading this post building something before you apply.
  • Technically scrappy. You can write code, even if you're not an out-and-out developer yet. You can ship a script, an automation, or a landing page, and you figure out tools you've never used before.
  • Hungry to master growth. You want to really learn distribution, positioning, funnels, and copy, not just read threads about them. You have opinions about why things spread, and you can articulate them.
  • Numbers-curious. You'd rather run the experiment than argue about it.
  • A self-starter. You see a problem and fix it without being asked.
  • Excited to do this at a YC startup: early, small, real ownership from day one. Hunger matters more to us than your resume.

You are NOT:

  • A pure engineer who only wants to build product features
  • A pure marketer who doesn't want to touch code
  • Someone who needs a clear job description to operate

This is an unpaid internship. The best performing interns will be offered a full time role. You will be in direct contact with the CEO and we will work with you so your work ships.

To apply: show us one growth hack or automation you've built (or one you think is brilliant) and tell us in two sentences why it worked.
