We have opportunities for teachers seeking ad hoc part-time work, with a minimum availability of three days per week, as well as full-time supply positions for those looking for more regular work. Our partner schools provide nurturing, inclusive and engaging learning environments where pupils are encouraged to develop their confidence, curiosity and love of learning. They value passionate educators who can deliver high-quality teaching and make a positive difference to pupils' educational experiences.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher looking for flexible supply work, the chance to gain experience across different school settings, or a pathway towards longer-term and permanent teaching opportunities across Falmouth and the surrounding areas.
The Role
As a KS2 Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons, maintain a positive classroom environment and ensure continuity of learning in the absence of the class teacher. You may work across Years 3–6, depending on the needs of the school and your experience. You will be expected to adapt quickly to different classroom environments, follow existing lesson plans where provided and ensure pupils remain engaged, supported and safe throughout the school day. Whether you are looking for a minimum of three days per week or a full-time commitment, we can help you explore opportunities that suit your availability and preferences.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
- Follow lesson plans and learning objectives provided by the school where available.
- Maintain positive behaviour and effective classroom management.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of pupils with different abilities and learning requirements.
- Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
- Monitor pupils' understanding and provide appropriate feedback.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues and school leadership.
- Follow school policies, safeguarding procedures and health and safety requirements.
- Demonstrate flexibility, initiative and professionalism when working across different schools and year groups.
Requirements
- Previous teaching experience in a primary school setting, ideally within Key Stage 2.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) for qualified teacher assignments.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A flexible, patient and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
- Confidence adapting to different classroom environments and year groups.
- Availability for at least three days per week for part-time opportunities, with full-time availability also welcomed.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
