About the Role
• Provide temporary account management support for an assigned portfolio of multinational clients, ensuring continuity of service and timely resolution of day-to-day requests.
• Manage renewals already in progress or due to commence during the assignment, coordinating all parties from initial preparation through placement and implementation.
• Support new business quotations and proposals in collaboration with brokers, clients, AIA local business units, underwriting and pricing teams.
• Maintain strong client and broker relationships, accurate account records and clear visibility of priorities, risks, deadlines and next steps.
• Contribute to portfolio retention and profitable growth through disciplined execution, responsive service and identification of practical cross-selling opportunities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary regional contact for an assigned portfolio of multinational clients and their brokers or consultants, managing queries, service matters, escalations and follow-up actions.
- Build an immediate understanding of each assigned account, including programme structure, participating markets, key stakeholders, open issues, renewal timetable and agreed service commitments.
- Own the end-to-end coordination of assigned renewals, including information gathering, timetable management, quotation requests, terms review, proposal preparation, negotiation support, confirmation of placement and implementation follow-up.
- Coordinate with AIA local business units, underwriting, pricing, operations and other internal teams to secure complete and timely renewal and new business responses.
- Assist with new business opportunities by collecting requirements, coordinating local quotations, consolidating terms, preparing client-ready proposals and tracking outstanding actions through to decision.
- Prepare and deliver clear programme, renewal and quotation updates to clients, brokers and internal stakeholders, highlighting decisions required, risks and next steps.
- Maintain accurate and current account, opportunity and activity records in the relevant systems and trackers, including premiums, policy details, contacts, status and deadlines.
- Monitor service and renewal risks, resolve issues promptly where possible and escalate material concerns with a clear recommendation.
- Identify and progress practical opportunities to improve coverage, extend programmes or introduce relevant AIA solutions.
- Ensure orderly handover of all assigned accounts, renewals, quotations and open actions at the end of the temporary assignment.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Substantial experience (+10 years) in multinational employee benefits, corporate life and health insurance, or a closely related client management role in APAC.
- Demonstrated experience managing multinational clients and coordinating regional renewals, quotations or placements with brokers and insurers.
- Working knowledge of employee benefits practices in major APAC markets; familiarity with pooling and captive programmes is advantageous.
- Strong client service, coordination and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take ownership and work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; Mandarin or another relevant Asian language is advantageous.
- Ability to build effective relationships across cultures and functions, both internally and with clients, brokers and consultants.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and client or pipeline management systems.
- Availability to commence promptly and travel within the region when required.
