Aero Air is hiring part-time Aircraft Ramp/Line Service Agents for evening and weekend shifts at Hillsboro Airport in Oregon.

Position summary

Aircraft Ramp/Line Service Agents help flights operate safely and on schedule in a fast-paced environment. They support arriving and departing aircraft while providing excellent service to guests, clients, and Aero Air team members.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Marshal and push back aircraft into position.
• Wing-walk, tow, and fuel various types of aircraft.
• Clean exterior and interior of aircraft and vehicles.
• Load and unload baggage and cargo to and from aircraft.
• Service aircraft as necessary including lavatory for waste disposal.
• Provide aircraft ground support services as assigned.
• Provide friendly service to clients and coworkers.
• Sell services and fuel.
• Perform facility and equipment maintenance as needed.
• Operate the tools and equipment required for assigned work after completing applicable training and qualification requirements.
• Keep work areas clean and presentable.
• Maintain reliable, regular, and predictable attendance.
• Adhere to all Aero Air policies and standards of conduct.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

• Strong customer service, self-motivation, attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and consistent follow-through are essential. Candidates must also be able to take direction and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to understand verbal and written work instructions.
• Dependable and professional.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical abilities

• Ability to consistently lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. with assistance.
• Ability to perform assigned duties while exposed to excessive noise, vibration, and other demanding sensory conditions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and to pull, push, squat, stoop, climb, walk, kneel, reach, grasp, crawl, and write.
• Close, distance, color, and peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to perform assigned duties outdoors and in inclement weather.
• Must be able to drive a vehicle and aircraft tug.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Advocate for Aero Air's culture of excellence and customer service.
• Valid U.S. or state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.

This position has a generally consistent schedule but may occasionally require coverage of open shifts, including evening or holiday hours.
